Two consignments stores in Sacramento reopened their doors Tuesday after a fire swept through the complex and killed one of the owners.
The Kings’ stores at 101 E. Third St., 103 E. Second St., and 114 E. Ninth St. are open.
The Sacramento Fire Department said it had been battling the blaze in the complex since Monday night.
Fire officials said one of those stores, the St. Francis Consignment store at 101 East Third St. was the one that had been destroyed.
The store was open for business as of 6 p.m.
It was closed Tuesday due to a “fire safety hazard.”
The other Sacramento Consignment stores, at 103 West Third St.; 110 Third St; and 116 Third St, were closed, officials said.
In a statement, the Kings said they would continue to work with the Sacramento Fire Dept. and other agencies in their efforts to determine the cause of the fire.
“The Kings will continue to monitor the situation and provide all of the support we can, in order to assist in the restoration of the St Francis Consignments,” the statement said.
The fire was reported just before 2:30 p..m., authorities said.
