With Marvel’s ‘Hula Girl’ coming to Hulu on May 17, and the upcoming ‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’ coming out this month, fans have been clamoring for some more comics from the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
With the release of ‘The Avengers: Infinity War’ movie, Marvel is gearing up to release its most recent cinematic universe to date, and now we can confirm that ‘The Incredible Hulk’ comic will be made a part of that universe as well.
Writer Mark Millar and artist Mike Deodato will be taking over the Hulk series from Mark Waid, and this new title will see the Hulk team up with the Avengers, Spider-Men, and Guardians of the Galaxy to fight the evil Dr. Doom and his minions.
This new Hulk title is slated to arrive in May 2019, and it will be a continuation of the story that has been told so far in ‘The Fantastic Four’ and ‘The Hulk.’
The character will be introduced as one of the most powerful superhumans on the planet, and will take on a new role for the new film: as a member of the Guardians of Earth-X.
The new title is also slated to take place before the events of ‘Guardians of the Galactic: The Last Starfighter,’ so the events that take place in ‘Guardian of the Universe’ are also set before this new one.
But we still have a few months until ‘HULK: S.H.I.E.L.D.’ comes out, so it seems likely that we will see ‘The Hulking Hulk’ before the release date.
As for ‘Hulking’ itself, this new comic book is set in the ‘Hollywood Hulk’ universe and follows the adventures of a young Bruce Banner as he becomes the Hulk.
Banner must fight off a number of villains including a villain named “Mantis” (named after the Mantis monster in the movie ‘The Mummy’), and even the Hulk himself, as well as the Scarlet Witch.
This comic book also focuses on Banner’s growing feelings of guilt about the death of his parents, and how they came to be killed.
The Hulk will have to make a decision to either accept his own guilt and try to stop the villainous Dr. Phan from killing Banner, or to kill Phan himself and take his place as the new Hulk.
